Technology makes it easier for us to read this long book by turning it into an audiobook or podcast. What is the difference between audiobooks and podcasts?
Let’s explore…!
What is Audiobook?
Audiobooks are recordings of the text of a book that is listened to rather than read. Audiobooks can be word-for-word copies of books or simplified versions.
You can listen to audiobooks on your phone, tablet, computer, home audio system, or car stereo. Generally, audiobooks are acquired and downloaded in the same manner as digital music and video.
They can be purchased online or downloaded from public domain sites. Most public library systems allow online audiobook downloading; a library card is required.
What is Podcast?
A podcast is a series of audio episodes hosted by one or more hosts. It can take many different forms, such as quick roundups of recent news, round-table discussions, and much more.
Generally, podcasts are released on a fixed schedule and allow members to download new episodes directly.
A podcast is usually a conversation between a couple of people who are just hanging out and chatting, with a rough plan of what they want to talk about that day.
